Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah, believes Ghana can dominate world football through its elite talent identification project.
In an interview with GhanaFAnews, Mintah emphasized his vision, highlighting the academy’s commitment to excellence and its goal of elevating Ghanaian football to unprecedented levels.
“The long-term goal or target is to unearth talent, develop talent and develop the youth so that we can feed into the senior national teams,” Prof. Mintah said.
“The target is to get every region one academy so maybe in the next five, six, seven years, each region will have its academy and that’s where you can assemble the best of talent for each region.
“Our target is to be in the World Cup and if possible, conquer the world.
Mintah envisions a future where Ghana’s national teams boast an abundance of skilled players capable of competing at the highest international levels.
Ghana’s memorable performances on the global stage include winning the under-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009 and reaching the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
