Former Ghana international, Rev. Osei Kofi, has urged the Black Stars technical team to build the team around Mohammed Kudus, describing him as a “generational talent”.
Kudus has impressed both at club and national team levels, and Rev. Osei Kofi believes he has the potential to be the team’s playmaker, similar to how he played with the “fearsome five” during his playing days.
Speaking to Joy Sports Osei Kofi opined that players like Kudus are rare and that the team should be built around him, citing his exceptional skills and ability to control the game.
. “Whenever Polo had the ball, the four [talking about the fearsome five] would move, and he decided who to give the ball to,”
“Such players are rare. After me, there was Polo who came. But now, we have someone like [Mohammed] Kudus. Players like that are generational talents.”
“If the technical team were good enough, they would know this. You always have to build the team around an individual,” he added.
Kudus played his first game for the Black Stars in 2019 and has scored 11 goals in 34 games.
