President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has been appointed as the Chairperson of FIFA’s Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee.
The appointment, which takes effect from 2025 to 2029, will see the GFA boss lead FIFA’s global campaign to tackle racism and promote inclusivity within football.
As chair, Okraku will oversee the implementation of strategic reforms and initiatives aimed at eradicating discrimination in all its forms across the sport.
He will be assisted by Mark Wade of Bermuda, who assumes the role of Deputy Chairperson, along with 19 other members drawn from FIFA’s member associations.
Before this appointment, Okraku served as President of the West African Football Union (WAFU Zone B) for two terms and currently holds the position of 2nd Vice President of CAF.
