The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum as head coach of the Black Starlets on a two-year contract.
The decision follows his recent takeover from Frimpong Manso and comes after he guided the national U-17 side to qualification for the 2026 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The continental tournament is scheduled for April, with preparations already underway.
The FA believes a long-term deal will offer stability and allow the technical team to build a competitive squad.
Ogum’s role goes beyond the dugout, as he also serves as the association’s Head of Education.
His coaching résumé includes leading Asante Kotoko to the 2022 Ghana Premier League title and steering WAFA to a second-place league finish.
He has also handled Ebusua Dwarfs and worked as assistant coach of the Black Galaxies.
