The Ghana Football Association has announced a one-week suspension of all football competitions to allow participants to exercise their civic responsibility during the general elections scheduled for December 7, 2024.

The decision will affect the Ghana Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, and all other competitions, which will pause after this weekend’s matches.

Football is set to resume on Friday, December 13, 2024.

The GFA noted that clubs and match officials were previously informed about the suspension, and the latest announcement serves as a reminder.
