Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association Henry Asante Twum has denied reports of his outfit sacking Black Stars goalkeepers’ coach Richard Kingston.
There were reports in the local media that the newly appointed Black Stars coach Chris Hughton wants to changed the faces of the technical team and one of rumoured casualty is Kingston.
It was reported Hughton wants former Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey instead.
However the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, says there are no iota of truth in the rumours.
“We haven’t made any changes in the technical team. Richard Kingston is still at post as the Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer”, Twum insisted during the unveiling of Ghana’s new coach Chris Hughton at the SG Mall in Kumasi.
The Black Stars of Ghana will face the Palancas Negras of Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday evening.
