The Ghana Football Association has officially granted Asante Kotoko permission to travel to South Africa for an international friendly against Kaizer Chiefs.
The match, set for Saturday, July 26, 2025, will be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as part of the Toyota Cup.
The high-profile encounter is also expected to serve as a key preparatory match for both clubs ahead of their 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup campaigns.
The GFA has thrown its weight behind Kotoko’s participation, describing the match as a valuable international engagement.
In a statement, the association said, “The GFA affirms its support for this engagement and wishes the team a successful outing.”
Kotoko’s technical team will use the fixture to assess squad readiness for continental football.
The Reds secured their CAF Confederation Cup slot after winning the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup.
