The Ghana Football Association has announced the appointment of Desmond Offei as the new assistant coach of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Offei, who currently serves as the head coach of the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites, replacing Joseph Laumann as one of Otto Addo’s assistant coaches.
Under his guidance, the Black Satellites won the African Games title and triumphed in the WAFU Zone B U-20 tournament, earning praise for his tactical ability and player development skills.
As the new assistant coach of the senior national team, Offei is expected to bring his winning mentality, dynamic coaching approach, and deep understanding of player growth to the Black Stars.
His appointment comes at a crucial time, with Ghana set to begin their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in March.
