On Friday afternoon, Getafe hosts in-form Real Mallorca at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in La Liga as the home side attempt to end the visitor’s recent decent run of form.

The team from the capital is in 15th place in the Spanish top-flight table, just three points clear of the relegation zone. Quique Sanchez Flores’ team is on a poor run of form, having won just one of their previous eight matches in La Liga.

One slight positive is that they have also suffered just one defeat in their last six league games.

Their recent league games have been low-scoring affairs, as six of their last seven matches in La Liga have produced under 2.5 goals, including their last four outings.

Getafe’s home form has hindered their chances of breaking free of the relegation zone, as they have won just one of their previous 11 matches on home soil in the Spanish top-flight.

The Islanders head into this game on a decent recent run of form in La Liga. Javier Aguirre’s team are unbeaten in their last four league games, having recorded three wins and a draw. Last time out, Mallorca recorded a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

The victory moved Mallorca to within five points of the European spots in the Spanish top flight and eight points clear of the relegation zone.

The visitors have impressed on their travels of late, winning at both Valencia and Villarreal and have also lost just two of their last nine away games in the Spanish top flight.

Mallorca’s recent away games in La Liga have been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine league matches on their travels.

What does Forebet predict?
