Gabriel Jesus’s new Arsenal number confirmed as signing video leaked online

Keen-eyed Arsenal fans have already leaked the signing of Gabriel Jesus in a video circulating on social media on Thursday morning.

The video, which shows the Gunners’ latest signing walking along the touchline of the Emirates Stadium in a full kit, has also confirmed the widely assumed news that he will take the no.9 shirt, which was vacated this summer by Alexandre Lacazette when he left as a free agent.

Arsenal have agreed a £45m deal to sign Jesus, though they are yet to formally announce the signing, with the Brazilian having already completed his medical and now taking on media duties. However, with the leaks emerging, the anticipation is diminishing over his eventual presentation to the Arsenal faithful.

What next for Arsenal?

Against all odds, Arsenal are still pushing for a deal for Leeds United winger Raphinha, who seems to be destined for either Chelsea or Barcelona.

Beyond that, they are also keen on Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez, though they may face added competition from Manchester United should they not complete a deal soon, with Erik ten Hag thought to be keen to bring the Argentine to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, a deal for Youri Tielemans could also be reignited later in the transfer window, while the Gunners will likely seek a Raphinha alternative should they miss out on the Brazilian as seems likely.
