Emmanuel Frimpong’s visit to Michael Essien’s home in London has been interpreted as a subtle plot to have the on-loan Real Madrid man join Arsenal this summer.
The two Ghana internationals spent time together on Thursday in Essien’s London home.
The Chelsea player on-loan at Real Madrid is back in England receiving treatment on his latest injury.
Essien remains set to rejoin the European champions when his season’s-long loan deal at the Spanish giants expires this summer.
Speculations are however rife the former Lyon midfielder could be on his way out of Chelsea with clubs like Arsenal a possible destination.
Essien’s link to the Gunners has now been intensified again with Emmanuel Frimpong’s visit.
Frimpong himself, on-loan at Fulham would relish the opportunity to link up with his fellow Ghanaian compatriot in the Arsenal midfield next season.
Both however are also highly likely to miss the Arsenal boat as Fulham are reportedly ready to hand the Gunner a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Their meeting on Thursday will however do very little to stop the intense speculation over the future of their club careers.
