Former Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Joseph Kobina Ade-Coker, will be laid to rest on Friday, August 1, 2025, following his passing at the Bank Hospital in Accra on Sunday, June 1, after a short illness. He was 68.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, August 3.
Ade-Coker was a prominent figure in both football and politics, having also served as Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and as Consul of the Republic of Belarus.
In football, he is remembered for his influential role as GFA Vice Chairman in 1997 and as chairman of Accra Great Olympics. He also founded the now-defunct AC Olympiacos in the early 2000s, a club that competed in the lower divisions of Ghana football.
Joseph Kobina Ade-Coker leaves behind a legacy of leadership, passion, and service to the game.
