KF Shkupi will welcome Dinamo Zagreb to the Čair Stadium this Tuesday eveing as they play out the second leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round after a fiesty 2-2 draw in the first leg back in Croatia.

The two sides were relatively evenly matched in the previous game as they both managed to register two goals, have seven shots on target each, while the goals were spread out too as Zagreb edged the possession by 54% compared to Shkupi’s 46%.

Queven scored the game’s opening goal after 25 minutes for the away side that day, with Arijan Ademi soon equalising just before half time for Zagreb.

Bruno Petkovic would have though he’d stolen the headlines and given the Croatian side a massive advantage heading into the second leg with his goal five minutes before time, however, Renaldo Cephas soon equalised for Shkupi that day.

It now sets up an enticing encounter between these two as the Lincoln Red Imps ran Shkupi right down to the wire in the first qualifying round.

The North Macedonian outfit managed to stunningly win the first leg of that game 3-0, before hearts were in mouths within the second leg as the Red Imps managed to pull the game back to 2-0 inside 70 minutes.

With 20 minutes to go and many bookings later, Shkupi managed to edge past them 3-2 on aggregate.

As for Zagreb, their domestic season is well underway now with two games down and the reigning champions of the 1.HNL will be in great spirits after the first gameweek seen them edge past NK Lokomotiva in a thrilling game that saw Josip Drmic score twice inside the first half, before Luka Menalo scored the winning goal with just seconds remaining.

What’s more, they also saw 62% of the ball that day and had six shots on target and have kept up a very attack-minded trend throughout their past month of games.

Zagreb did also skip the first leg of qualifying due to their league status, but with a Croatia Super Cup final win against Hajduk Split will surely give them further confidence in getting the job done here. They did only win that game on penalties, however, after a 0-0 draw.

Given the form of Zagreb so far and their attacking output, this game is set to be a close one. Forebet predicts a win for Dinamo Zagreb and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
