On Thursday evening, Fenerbahce welcome Kayserispor to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup.

Fenerbahce booked their place in the last eight with a 2-1 victory over Rizespor, while Kayserispor claimed a 2-0 win against Antalyaspor to reach the quarter-finals.

With 13 points separating second-placed Fenerbahce and seventh-placed Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig table, the hosts are favoured to advance on Thursday.

That said, Fenerbahce head into this clash on the back of a 4-2 defeat to Besiktas, ending a run of three straight wins in the Super Lig.

It is also worth noting that Fenerbahce had avoided defeat in seven league outings before falling to Besiktas, picking up six wins and one draw in the process.

In the Turkish Cup, Fenerbahce defeated Istanbulspor 3-1 before dispatching Rizespor 2-1, meaning they average 2.5 goals per game in the competition this term.

Having won the most recent of their six Turkish Cup titles back in 2013 – losing the final in 2016 and 2018 since then – Fenerbahce will be eager to lift the trophy once again.

As for Kayserispor, they claimed a dramatic 4-3 victory over Trabzonspor last time out, meaning they have won four of their past seven matches.

When you look at the bigger picture, Kayserispor have won seven of their previous 10 games across all competitions.

Remarkably, Kayserispor have not registered a draw since October, recording 10 wins and seven losses in all competitions since then.

After losing last season’s Turkish Cup final to Sivasspor – suffering an agonising extra-time defeat – Kayserispor will be desperate to go one better this time around.

Head-to-head: Fenerbahce have lost just one of their last seven Turkish Cup meetings with Kayserispor, winning four of the previous six.

Across all competitions, Kayseripor have claimed a solitary victory in their past 10 matches against Fenerbahce.

Team news: Fenerbahce will be without the injured trio of Joshua King, Jayden Oosterwolde and Michy Batshuayi on Thursday, while Luan Peres is a doubt.

Kayserispor also have a couple of injury doubts, with Joseph Attamah and Majid Hosseini likely to miss Thursday’s clash.

Given the 13-point gulf between these two sides in the Turkish Super Lig table, Fenerbahce are expected to flex their muscles on home soil.

Forebet predicts that Fenerbahce will book their place in the semi-finals on Thursday, scoring over 1.5 goals on their way to knocking out Kayserispor.
