FC Köln’s attacking woes seem to be nearing an end as German-born Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl is expected to return to the pitch after the international break.

The 19-year-old talent from Cologne has been sidelined due to a muscle injury in his thigh for over a week, causing him to miss the derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

According to Sport Bild, FC Köln coach Timo Schultz is optimistic about Justin Diehl’s recovery and hopes to have him back for the upcoming match against Augsburg on March 31. This news comes as a significant relief for the team, which has been struggling in the attacking front recently.

Justin Diehl, who will be moving to VfB Stuttgart in the summer, has been an integral part of FC Köln’s youth setup and has shown promise in his brief appearances for the senior team. His return could potentially provide the much-needed spark to the team’s offense.
