Two sides with a huge point to prove in the Belarusian Premier League will clash this Friday as fourth-placed Isloch Minsk Region meet with Vitebsk with both clubs in completely contrasting form heading into this one.

Isloch have been in sensational form since they lost to Minsk back at the start of last month, as they have gone on to register three wins and one draw since.

The club also managed to seriously close the gap on BATE Borisov in the league when they defeated them 1-0 in what was arguably their best result of the season to this point.

It does now leave Isloch just six points behind the league leaders, and with them having scored 20 goals from 13 games, they’ll be confident in keeping their form going here to reignite their title hopes.

The club also drew with Gomel in the league too, and with a victory over Krumkachy in the round of 32 in the Belarusian Cup, they are also putting up an excellent fight elsewhere on the domestic front.

Isloch also registered another famous victory in their last game as they defeated Dinamo Minsk 2-1 with goals from Yuriy Kozyrenko and Ruslan Lisakovich, and similarly to their victory over BATE, this one again closed the gap tremendously in the race for the top three. Artsyom Radzkow’s men have also only lost three games in the league now, and also boast six victories to this point.

Vitebsk, however, returned back to the losing column last time out with a loss to Dinamo Brest on home soil.

This came not long after a rare two wins on the spin, with them defeating Maxline in the Belarusian Cup 3-2, just prior to a 2-0 win over Slutsk in the league.

The recent loss was their seventh in the league after just 13 games, and it does also leave them five points adrift of 12th-placed Slutsk directly above them, while the club have been pulled closer to the foot of the table where they now sit just four points above Dnepr.

There are 12 points already separating these two sides, and with the form guide looking very different, there seem to be only one winner in this game.

Forebet predicts a victory for Isloch here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals with the fourth-placed side looking like testing the waters in the tense title race after two fantastic wins in recent weeks.
