An Accra High Court on Friday adjourned a hearing for an injunction application filed by AshantiGold SC against the Ghana Premier League.

The case was adjourned to Thursday, October 20, 2022 to hear a leave application from Ashantigold to file a supplementary affidavit in their case against the Ghana FA.

This latest development means the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League campaign remains suspended.

The Miners are in court to challenge the decision of the Ghana Football Association to demote them and Inter Allies to the Division Two League at the end of last season.

The two clubs were relegated to the third tier after the Disciplinary Committee found them guilty of manipulating a high-scoring matchday 34 fixture in the 2021/22 campaign.

Last month, the GFA subsequently banned the club indefinitely for “continuously dealing with its banned officials”.
