Experienced defender Vincent Atinga marks debut for Bibiani Goldstars in defeat against former club Medeama

Experienced defender Vincent Atinga officially made his debut for Bibiani Goldstars on Tuesday after featuring against his former club Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

Atinga was called to action when his outfit succumbed to defeat in the domestic top-flight outstanding game at the Akoon Park.

Kwadwo Amoako scored the only goal from the spot in the 74th minute to propel his side to secure maximum points in the much-anticipated encounter.

The defender joined the Timber Boys not long ago after ending his stay with the Yellow and Mauves following the expiration of his contract.

He is expected to play a huge role for the miners as they seek to turnaround their season following a difficult start.

Vincent Atingah is one of the most experienced players in the Ghana Premier League, having played for Hearts of Oak and Medeama.

He was also part of the home-based Black Stars team that won the WAFU tournament in 2017.
