The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah as Technical Director.
The University of Northern Iowa, USA product who has been working as Director of Coaching Education in the last five years replaces Bernhard Lippert.
Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah is a former Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology Education, College of Education Studies, University of Cape Coast and a former Head of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, College of Education Studies, University of Cape Coast.
The former Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs head coach, has held academic positions at Azusa Pacific University in California, USA, Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, USA, Deportivo Semi Professional Club, Fontana, California, USA and East High School, Waterloo, Iowa, USA.
As Director of Coach Education of the Ghana Football Association, Professor Mintah was responsible for strategic planning and sporting direction, right down to the tactics and formations adopted at all age levels. He regularly evaluated to ensure coaches received the right training in order to lead sessions effectively – not just to win individual matches, but to ensure continued player improvement from one age group to the next and was also responsible for creating the overarching training programmes, setting objectives and reviewing performance of coaches.
The former Black Stars Team Psychologist holds an Elite CAF A Instructors License Certificate from the Confederation of African Football (CAF). He served as an Interim Assistant Coach of the Ghana Black Stars during the 2014 CAF Qualifiers and was Head Coach of Ghana Premier League side, Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs from 2010 to 2014.

Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah will be working with the above listed staff at the Technical Director to shape the Technical Direction of the Association.
