Ajax have turned down an offer from Everton to sign Mohammed Kudus, Ghanasoccernet understands.
Kudus wants out of the Dutch giants, and Everton have offered to sign him, but Ajax insists he is not for sale.
Despite reported pressure from Kudus’ camp, Ajax have refused to even discuss a loan deal with Everton.
The midfielder is dissatisfied with his bench role and wishes to transfer to a club where he will be given regular playing time.
Everton manager Frank Lampard is said to have spoken with Kudus and assured him that he would start, but the potential transfer appears to have fallen through.
Ghanasoccernet exclusively reported on Monday that Kudus had reached personal terms with Everton and was awaiting Ajax’s approval.
Ajax have decided not to sell Kudus, forcing him to remain at the club and compete for a starting spot in Alfred Schreuder’s team.
Kudus joined Ajax from FC Nordsjaelland in 2020 for €9 million and signed a five-year contract.
The 22-year-old has appeared in 46 games, scoring six goals and winning back-to-back Dutch league titles.
