Brentford are unbeaten in three straight games against Everton in the Premier League. The teams’ previous meeting in 2022-23 saw the Bees draw 1-1 with Everton at the GTech Stadium.

Anthony Gordon opened the scoring for Everton, but Brentford came back to draw thanks to a goal from Vitaly Janelt. Since playing the reverse fixture in August, Everton have changed their manager and Gordon, who scored in the match in London, left the club.

Everton will start the weekend in 18th place and winless in three straight league matches. The Toffees managed a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest a week ago but twice conceded a one-goal lead.

Brentford will start the weekend in ninth place. The Bees are battling for European qualification in a very congested top half of the table.

Three points separate Brentford and sixth-place Newcastle United. A win could send Brentford into the top six, but they need results to go their way elsewhere.

The Bees are unbeaten in 12 straight Premier League fixtures. Brentford took 12 points across the last six games. Only Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal did better, picking up 13 points.

Thomas Frank’s team is playing fantastic defence, which isn’t a great sign for Sean Dyche’s Everton. Everton struggle to score despite totalling two goals versus Forest. Brentford conceded just four goals across the last six games while scoring 10 times.

Everton are the league’s joint-worst team in front of goal. The Toffees scored 19 times in their opening 26 matches. They conceded 38 goals in the same timeframe.

Dyche will be without Andros Townsend due to a knee injury. Nathan Patterson is a major doubt to play due to injury, but Vitalii Mykolenko could be fit following an illness.

Everton could finally get Dominic Calvert-Lewin back in the side. The striker has struggled for fitness all season long but will undergo a fitness test to see if he can play.

Just one player will miss out for Frank’s Brentford. Thomas Strakosha is nursing an ankle injury. Brentford defeated Fulham on Monday night 3-2. Ivan Toney continued his great goalscoring form with a penalty. He is third in goals this season with 15 in the Premier League.

Everton’s winless streak should continue as Brentford post an away win to stay unbeaten in 13 straight matches. The Bees should get a 2-0 away win to heap more pressure on Everton, as they take a step closer to qualifying for Europe for the first time.
