Frank Lampard’s Everton are targeting Manchster City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Ukrainian fears that his chances in the team will be minimal after it emerged that City is set to make a bid for Brighton defender Cucurella in the coming days; the 25-year-old set to leave the Etihad with the blessing of Pep Guardiola.
The Athletic reports that apart from Everton, there is plenty of interest for the player in the Premier League although Everton is the frontrunner for his signature.
Zinchenko has been at Man City since 2017 and has made over 120 appearances but most of them have been in cameo roles and the player feels he deserves a starting slot in the team owing to his talent.

Despite the absence of Benjamin Mendy for the better part of the season, Zinchenko thought he would be handed more game time but Guardiola used other defenders including Cancelo to feature in the position something that is said not to have sat well with the Ukrainian.
Apart from Zinchenko, Everton is said to be in the market for more new faces as Lampard doesn’t want to be involved in the relegation dog fight he faced last season.
