Ghana forward Evelyn Badu has scooped the Young Player of the Year and the Inter-club Player of the Year at the Confederation of Africa Football Awards 2022 held in Rabat, Morocco.
The Black Princesses captain won the hearts of many in the Women’s category for her role in Hasaacas Ladies’ incredible run in the Champions League.
She ease past Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Andile Dlamini and South Africa defender Bambanani Mbanie in the Inter-Club Player of the Year category before bagging the Young Player of the Year ahead of former teammate Doris Boaduwaa and Morocco’s Yasmine Zouhir.
Evelyn finished the CAF Women’s Champions League as the top scorer with 5 goals and best Player of the tournament.
The 19-year-old captained the Ghana Women’s U20 team to the World Cup to be held in Costa Rica next month.
