Former Black Stars management committee member, Ernest Thompson has called on the Ghana Football Association to sack Otto Addo after Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 African Cupof Nations.

The four times African champions elimination marked their first absence from the tournament since 2004, finishing bottom of Group F with just three points out of a possible 18.

The disappointing campaign has led to intensified calls for Addo’s resignation.

“For me, the problem is two-fold. We have a bad technical team,” he told JoySports.

“They are not up to the task if they are to lead us in the next five years because Ghanaians don’t have the patience to wait for a coach who is young and still learning.”

The Ghana Football Association Executive Council is set to meet on Wednesday to ascertain the reasons behind Ghana’s struggles and also to determine the fate of Otto Addo
