Aduana FC have sacked head coach Yaw Acheampong after a poor start to the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Acheampong joined Aduana FC last season, leading the team to a fifth-place finish in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
However, the current campaign has been underwhelming, with the team managing only two wins, six draws, and four losses in their first 12 games.
As a result, Aduana sit 14th on the league table with just 12 points.
On Sunday afternoon, Aduana suffered a 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko SC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Stadium.
This prompted an emergency management meeting, during which the decision to terminate Acheampong’s contract was made.
In the interim, assistant coach W.O. Tandoh has been tasked with leading the team as management plans to appoint a new head coach.
Aduana FC will aim for redemption in their next league fixture against Berekum Chelsea.
