Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah delivered a stellar performance, scoring and assisting in Olympique Lyon’s emphatic 4-1 away victory over Montpellier in the French Ligue 1.
Nuamah, who played the full 90 minutes at the Stade de Mosson, earned the MVP award and an impressive 8.1 rating from Flashscore for his contributions.
Lyon took an early lead in the 3rd minute through Georges Mikautadze, but Tanguy Coulibaly equalized for Montpellier before halftime.
Nuamah restored Lyon’s advantage in the 50th minute before setting up Corentin Tolisso just three minutes later to extend the lead. Alexandre Lacazette sealed the win in the 73rd minute.
Lyon now sit sixth in Ligue 1 with 36 points from 22 games.
The 21-year-old winger has been directly involved in four goals this season, scoring three and providing one assist.
