Erik ten Hag to hold one-on-one meetings with Man United players

Erik ten Hag will allegedly undertake one-on-one talks with every Man United first-team player over the next two months.

Ten Hag will not formally begin working with the 20-time English champions until the conclusion of the season, with the Dutchman still chasing the Eredivisie championship with Ajax.

However, the 52-year-old is reported to have already spoken to Manchester United about prospective transfer targets, with a number of players linked with an Old Trafford move since his hiring was confirmed.

Ten Hag will undertake individual Zoom sessions with each Manchester United player over the next three weeks, according to The Mirror, in order to establish ties at an early stage.

According to the source, even those who are not under contract with the club, such as Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata, will conduct virtual meetings with the club’s new head coach.

Ten Hag is also rumored to be contemplating replacing Harry Maguire as captain following the England international’s failures during the 2021-22 season.

Man United are anticipated to miss out on Champions League football next season, as the team appears to be struggling for a Europa League spot, presently lying sixth in the Premier League with 54 points.
