Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has set sights on working hard to succeed at Great Olympics this season.
According to Agyemang-Badu, having been off the game for about four months, he lacks the sharpness, fitness, pace and physicality to be at the top of his game.
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder joined the ‘Dade Boys’ and played a vital role as Olympics won the 2022 GHALCA G6 tournament.
“My fitness is improving. Having been away for 13 years, I have a lot of things to be accustomed to. At the moment, I am working on my fitness; it is improving and I am getting better match after match,” Agyemang-Badu said.
“I also have to adapt to the league and its physicality, the weather conditions and the pitches. That is very important for me.
He added, “Unfortunately, I didn’t have pre-season with the club so I joined with little idea about the team’s philosophy. I was thrown onto the field with the GHALCA G6 competition which we managed to win.”
“Apart from the usual training sessions, the G6 tournament and other friendly games were the only platform I had with the team.”
