Qarabag forward Emmanuel Addai reveals his footballing idols, citing inspiration from Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and childhood hero Eden Hazard.

“Once I was a fan of Liverpool, I enjoyed the work he [Salah] was doing in the team with Mane. They inspired me that it’s possible to also play at Liverpool someday as an African,” Addai told 3Sports.

However, Addai’s biggest idol is Eden Hazard. “Deeper down, I admired Ronaldo Nazário… Hazard was the one I watched the most. He doesn’t look flashy at first glance, but he’s complete – speed, dribbling, strength, power. I try to learn from his style.”

Addai’s admiration for Hazard stems from the Belgian’s impressive skills, which he studied through videos.

The Qarabag forward hopes to emulate Hazard’s success, incorporating his style into his own game.
