Eleven Wonders have sued the Ghana Football Association, requesting for a possible injunction on the play-offs to replace Ashantigold in the 2022-23 Ghana premier league .
The injunction, filed at the Wenchi High Court is to stop the GFA from organizing the tournament and select Eleven Wonders as the deserved team to fill the vacant spot.
The play-off, which involves Ebusua Dwarfs, Tamale City and Liberty Professionals, is scheduled to start on August, 11 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Wonders were relegated in the 2021-22 season after finished 16th with 40 points on the league table ahead of WAFA and Elmina Sharks.
The Techiman-based club overthrew GFA rules and regulations out the window which does not allow it’s members to to sue the country’s football governing body in court.
