Newly-promoted Bundesliga 2 side Dynamo Dresden have bolstered their midfield with the signing of 20-year-old German-born Ghanaian Kofi Amoako from VfL Wolfsburg.
Amoako, who spent last season on loan at VfL Osnabrück, joins Dresden on a permanent deal, with both clubs choosing not to disclose the financial details.
The former Hannover 96 youth product impressed during the 2024/25 campaign, making 36 appearances across all competitions for Osnabrück.
Reacting to the move, Amoako said he’s excited to call the Rudolf Harbig Stadium home, praising the electric matchday atmosphere and expressing readiness to contribute to a successful season.
Dynamo’s Sporting Director Thomas Brendel described Amoako as a “very talented player” with the physical qualities to anchor the midfield, highlighting his strong potential for development.
Despite representing Germany at youth level, Amoako remains eligible to play for Ghana internationally through his parentage.
