Manny Duku played a pivotal role in Wealdstone’s thrilling 2-1 win over AFC Fylde in the National League.

The Dutch-born forward scored a crucial goal that helped his team secure an impressive victory against the Lancashire side.

The first half saw Wealdstone under significant pressure, with AFC Fylde dominating the proceedings. However, an early goal by Dillon De Silva gave the Londoners a surprising lead. The Lancashire side managed to level the score through Nicolas Haughton just after the break, leaving most spectators skeptical about Wealdstone’s chances of pulling off a win.

Wealdstone displayed remarkable resilience and grit, holding their ground against the relentless AFC Fylde attack. The turning point came in the 60th minute when Manny Duku scored from a breakaway, calmly restoring Wealdstone’s lead.

English-born Ghanaian striker Sean Adarkwa came on in the 79th minute to replace Manny Duku.

The visitors had several opportunities to increase their lead, but Wealdstone’s defense stood firm, preventing any further goals. The three points earned from this victory propelled Wealdstone four places up in the National League table, placing them in 16th position.
