Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has been nominated for the April Bundesliga Player of the Month award.
The youngster will face off competition from teammate Moussa Diaby, Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, Donyell Malen of Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart’s Josha Vognoman.
Jeremie has been so impressive for his side Leverkusen witn unbeaten record in April and they are seventh on the Bundesliga table. Leverkusen won three and drew two games.
Frimpong has received a couple of invite to the Dutch national team but he remains uncapped and could switch allegiance to represent Ghana at senior level.
