In the buildup to West Ham’s Carabao Cup fourth round clash against Arsenal, David Moyes spoke highly of summer signing Mohammed Kudus.
The manager expressed confidence in the 23 year old’s adaptation to the team, acknowledging his strong performance against Everton in the Premier League over the weekend.
Moyes considers the Ghanaian a valuable asset, emphasizing that they are not rushing his development and believed he could excel in multiple positions, such as midfield, right-wing, or as a forward.
The versatility Kudus offers is seen as a strategic advantage, making it challenging for opponents to predict West Ham’s playing style.
“It can take a few months for anybody to adapt, whether they’re doing well or not. I think Mo has settled in well though. He started against Everton and did well. We see him as a big player for us.
He’s young and we’re not pushing too hard or asking for too much too soon. I think he could be a midfield player, but could also play off the right or up front for us. I think all those positions are important for us because it gives us a variation and make it harder for other teams to figure out how we’re going to play as well.”
Kudus joined the Hammers in a reported €45 million transfer from Ajax at the end of the summer transfer window
