Striker David Accam says his confidence has been boosted since his debut call up to the Ghana national team despite his inability to make his debut.
The Helsingborg forward received his first call up to the Black Stars for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ghana.
The 22-year-old however remained on the substitute bench in the impressive 4-0 win over the Nile Crocodiles.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate however says he has observed a significant sour in his confidence level upon his return to his Swedish club earlier this week.
“It was amazing. My confidence has really gone high since,†he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“I always say it is a great moment when your are called to represent your country.
“And it is an experience will always cherish and take along with me.â€
Accam scored three goals in 10 for Helsingborg since being recalled from his loan spell at second-tier club Ostersund.
