Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey has rebuffed media reports that he has deleted Black Stars pictures on instagram during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast
Last week there were several reports in the local media which suggested that the Besiktas player was angry with coach Chris Hughton for losing his starting spot.
Reacting to the issue on Happy FM, the former Leicester City man disclosed the account was not for him.
“Why will I get angry and delete my Black Stars pictures from pictures? That will be childish. I was not angry when I was not playing, ” Amartey said.
“That was the decision of the coach. People who follow me will know I barely post on Instagram.”
Amartey only played one game in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast against Mozambique which ended 2-2 as Ghana was eventually eliminated from the competition.
