Coventry City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has praised team-mate Caleb Yirenkyi as a “modern N’Golo Kante”, saying the Ghanaian midfielder’s understated personality masks a strong belief in his own ability.
Thomas-Asante believes Yirenkyi combines humility with confidence and determination, qualities that have helped the 20-year-old make an immediate impression since joining Coventry City.
The forward also spoke about Yirenkyi’s emotional response to a late Coventry goal, saying he was delighted to see the young midfielder enjoy such a memorable moment.
