Board Member of Hearts of Oak Vincent Sowah Odotei has congratulated Asante Kotoko for winning the Super Clash on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kotoko secured a 3-2 win against their arch rivals in a match day 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians took the lead via Linda Mtange’s header in the 39th minute before Isaac Oppong equalised with a well-taken effort.
Steven Mukwala punished the Phobians with another goal, making it 2-1 for the Porcupine Warriors. The attacker then extended the lead for his side after a bad error from Hearts goalkeeper Richmond Ayi.
Substitute, Martin KariKari scored in the final minutes to restore the hopes of the Phobians but his goal wasn’t enough to earn his side a point.
“Congratulations to Asante Kotoko for winning the superclash . They showed a lot of character and resilience throughout the game. But on the balance of everything a draw would have been a fair result” Odotei stated.
