Coach Ibrahim Tanko will be available to the media today, Monday, March 27, 2023 before the Black Meteors begin their official training session on Monday, March 27, 2023.
Media personnel who are interested should be at the Baba Yara Stadium exactly at 5:00pm and will be given access to interview Coach Ibrahim Tanko and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh for 15 minutes.
The National U23 team will hold their final training session on Monday evening ahead of the CAF U23 AFCON qualifier second leg tie against Algeria at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
The National U23 team drew 1-1 with Algeria in the first leg tie which was played in Annaba last Friday and are poised to secure a win at home to secure qualification to the CAF U23 AFCON which will be staged in Morocco from June 24- July 8, 2023.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his team had a recovery session on Saturday and a full session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday evening.
Striker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will be available for selection in the second leg game after missing the first leg while serving a suspension for a red card he received in the CHAN tournament.
All other players are fit and available for selection for the return leg.
Kick off time for the match is 4pm and will be live on Max TV.
