Assistant coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles B, Usman Abdallah, is confident of his side’s chances against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
Nigeria travel to Ghana for the first leg of the final round of qualifiers on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
The winner of the tie qualifies for the CHAN tournament in Algeria 2023 and ahead of Sunday’s game, Usman Abdallah believes his team is prepared for Ghana.
“With the crop of players currently in camp, we have all it takes to qualify for the CHAN in Algeria,” he told the press.
“We have good set of players from the local league, some of them have played in the main super Eagles, so the exposure is there,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Black Galaxies returned to Ghana on Thursday morning after a friendly encounter in Austria against Qatar’s national team.
The World Cup hosts beat Ghana 2-1.
Ghana reached the final round of qualifiers after thumping the Cheetahs of Benin.
