CHAN 2022: Coach Annor Walker eyes ultimate prize with Black Galaxies

Black Galaxies trainer, Annor Walker wants to win the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) to be staged in Algeria this year.

Ghana make a return to the competition, having missed the last three editions since 2014.

The West African giants have reached the finals on two occasions – 2009, 2014 and are hoping to cross over the line this time around.

“It’s privilege to be here for this tournament. We are still preparing. We are not here to add up to the teams but to make our intentions clear,” Walker told the press.

“We are here with clear intentions and our aim is to win the trophy. It’s one trophy that Ghana has not won. We are not here to avoid any team including the hosts Algeria. We are ready to show all countries that we are also here to win.”

The Black Galaxies are drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar with the tournament slated for January 13.
