Ghanaian football legend Abedi Ayew Pele is celebrating his 61st birthday, with a wave of tributes and admiration from fans and fellow footballers.

Born on November 5, 1964, Abedi Pele is widely regarded as one of the greatest African footballers of all time.

The Maestro, as he is affectionately known, had a stellar career, winning numerous accolades, including three African Footballer of the Year awards and the prestigious Golden Foot Legend Award.

He also featured in FIFA’s Elite Club 100, a list compiled by Brazilian great Pele.

Abedi Pele’s achievements extend beyond individual honors, with notable successes in the UEFA Champions League, French Ligue 1, and the African Cup of Nations.

His sons, Andre and Jordan Ayew, have followed in his footsteps, playing for the Ghanaian national team.

Ghanaians took to social media to wish Abedi Pele a happy birthday, praising his contributions to Ghanaian football and celebrating his enduring legacy.
