CAFCC: Antwi nets twice as Dreams FC beat Stade Malien to gain first-leg advantage

Dreams FC staged a comeback to defeat Malian counterparts Stade Malien 2-1 at the Stade du 26 Mars to gain a first leg advantage of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter finals encounter.

Yoro Mamadou Diaby broke the deadlock to put Stade Malien 1-0 up after 53 minutes.

Thirteen minutes later, striker John Antwi make good use of a glorious opportunity that came his way to put the ball at the back of the net to restore parity for the Ghanaian side.

The Still Believe lads continue knocking at the door and were rewarded with a penalty which was clinically dispatched by Antwi to double his tally on the day.

Dreams FC will welcome Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium next week Sunday for the second leg of the on ongoing competition.

The Ghanaian MTN FA Cup champions just need a draw to qualify for the semi finals in their maiden participation.
