Ghana have been placed in Pot II of the Futsal Africa Cupmof Nations 2024 draw set to take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023. This follows the withdrawal of Mozambique for hosting the tournament. As a result, 8 teams shall qualify to the final tournament (and the new host shall be nominated soon).
The 3 highest ranked teams from the last edition namely: Morocco, Egypt & Angola will be exempted from the qualifiers and will qualify directly to the final tournament.
The remaining 10 teams including Ghana will play one knock-out round from Home & Away matches where the 5 winners will join the 3 exempted teams to complete the 8 teams. The teams will be distributed geographically. The 4 countries of the 2 neighbouring zones of COSAFA and CECAFA are in pot 1 and the other 6 teams from UNAF, WAFU A, WAFU B & UNIFFAC are in the other pot.
The 1st ball drawn will play against the 2nd ball drawn and the 1st ball will play the 1st match at home. The same process will be repeated for the remaining teams in pot 1 & the same process will be applied in pot 2.
