Dreams FC have etched their name into the annals of Ghana football history by securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals, following a 1-1 draw against Stade Malien.
After triumphing with a 2-1 victory in the first leg at the Stade 26 Mars stadium in Bamako, Dreams FC went into the match with a narrow lead.
Yoro Diaby’s goal in the 60th minute ignited hopes for the visitors, but Sylvester Simba delivered a timely equalizer 10 minutes later, solidifying the host’s position.
The aggregate scoreline favored Dreams FC 3-2 after the teams battled to a draw at the Baba Yara Stadium.
This achievement makes Dreams FC the first Ghanaian club to reach the semifinals of the competition since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko did so in 2004
Dreams FC will face off against the winner of the tie between Future FC and Zamalek.
