As part of Kotoko’s plans to revamp their squad for next season’s Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup exploits, a number of players have departed the Kumasi based side with a significant incoming being added as well.
The latest reports indicate that, Asante Kotoko are set to sign experienced midfielder Johnson Owusu Oppong, a former player of Dreams FC and Inter Allies.
According to reports, the deal is done, with Oppong expected to commit to a three-year contract. The 33-year-old completed his medical examination at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) yesterday, paving the way for his move to the Porcupine Warriors.
Oppong’s experience and leadership will be valuable assets to Asante Kotoko’s squad who are looking to rebuild and structure a team to compete on all fronts next season under Karim Zito.
