Ghanaian duo Thomas Partey and Mohamed Kudus have been nominated for this year’s CAF Player of the Year awards due to their outstanding performances for both their clubs and the national team.
Both players had a remarkable season with their respective clubs and played pivotal roles in Ghana’s qualification for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, which will be held in Ivory Coast.
Kudus, who made a high-profile transfer to the English Premier League side West Ham United, scored 18 goals and provided seven assists for Ajax last season.
Partey also played an instrumental role in Arsenal’s surprise competition with Manchester City for the English Premier League title.
The award night is scheduled for 11 December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco.
