As for Getafe, they are one of three teams locked on 25 points, while second-bottom Valencia are only two points behind Quique Sanchez Flores’ side.
Cadiz only managed to win three of their opening 18 league games this season, recording seven draws and eight losses along the way.
However, they appear to have turned the corner in recent weeks, with three clean-sheet victories and a goalless draw coming in their previous six outings.
It is also worth noting that Cadiz have avoided defeat in each of their last nine La Liga home games, so they will be confident of picking up a positive result on Friday.
That said, Cadiz are the joint-lowest scorers in the division with 18 goals, meaning Friday’s clash is destined to be a low-scoring affair.
Like Cadiz, Getafe have enjoyed an upturn in form in recent times, having managed to win just four of their first 21 La Liga encounters this term.
Following a four-game losing run in January, Getafe recorded back-to-back draws with Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano before beating Valencia and Girona.
As a result, Getafe have only lost one of their past five league outings, taking eight points from a possible 15 since January’s losing streak.
When you look at the bigger picture, however, Getafe have managed to win just three of their previous 30 away games in the league.
Head-to-head: Cadiz have only managed to win one of their last six matches against Getafe, suffering three losses in the process.
That said, the teams met twice in 2022, playing out a 1-1 draw at Nuevo Mirandilla before recording a goalless draw at Getafe.
Team news: Cadiz will be without the injured duo of Brian Ocampo and Jose Mari on Friday, while Cala, Jon Ander Garrido and Joseba Zaldua are doubts.
As for Getafe, they have reported no fresh injury problems ahead of Friday’s showdown, meaning the manager has a full-strength squad at his disposal.
With so much at stake for both these clubs, Cadiz and Getafe look set to dish up a cagey stalemate at Nuevo Mirandilla.
Forebet predicts that Cadiz and Getafe will play out a low-scoring draw, with both teams netting under 1.5 goals.
