Asante Kotoko is exploring options for a new head coach, with Gor Mahia’s CK Akonnor in talks to potentially take over if Karim Zito is relieved of his duties.

Akonnor, a seasoned coach, is leading Gor Mahia to success, currently topping the Kenya Premier League table.
His experience managing top Ghanaian clubs like Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and AshantiGold, makes him a strong candidate.
Akonnor’s appointment would be a significant move, bringing his tactical expertise and international exposure to the Porcupine Warriors.
CK Akonnor formerly coached the Black Stars and will be eager to uplift standards at Kotoko.
