Asante Kotoko’s coach Karim Zito has sent a strong message to the club’s fans, vowing to lead the team to success amidst growing pressure.
In the lead up to Kotoko v Aduana in the FA Cup, Zito emphasized his unbeaten record as a head coach, saying he’s yet to be sacked from any club he’s worked with.
“If a club hires me, I will work, and at the end of the day, I’ll leave my role,” he said.
However, Zito expressed his commitment to Kotoko, acknowledging the fans’ frustration but pleading for patience.
“This is my club, and I know how the fans behave,” he said. “I only plead with the fans to be patient, and we will surely win.”
Zito’s comments come as Kotoko face criticism for their recent performances.
The coach is banking on his experience to turn things around for the Porcupine Warriors, who lie 5th in the Ghana Premier League.
